
The Roscommon County Board has confirmed that the committee appointed to find a successor to John Evans as Manager of the Roscommon Senior Football team has reached agreement with former Mayo player Kevin McStay and All-Ireland winning minor manager Fergal O'Donnell, and will recommend to the County Executive that the due be appointed as joint managers for a 3-year term, with the option of a 4th year.
Subject to approval by the Executive later this week, their names will be brought before Clubs for ratification at next week’s meeting fo the County Board.
Former Mayo star Liam McHale is expected to be appointed a selector on the new team.
And in Galway Kevin Walsh has been reappointed as the senior football manager for 2016, while Anthony Cunningham has been given another year in charge of the county's hurlers.
