Success for Michaela Walsh at Scottish Athletics Championships

Michaela Walsh was in action at the Scottish Athletics Championships held in Grangemouth Stadium, Edinburgh. After a busy weekend she won double gold and set two new championship records. She won gold in the shot putt and broke the long standing record which had stood since 1999 set by Olympic and World Champion Valerie Adams from New Zealand by almost 3 meters. In the hammer she won gold and smashed the existing record set back in 2010 by over 5m. She also won silver in the javelin with a personal best throw.
