Cork City to play Roscommon & District League in Lecarrow at the end of the month

CORK City, who finished second to Dundalk in what was one of the most exciting climaxes to the Airtricity League Premier Division in years, will be the special guests of the Roscommon and District league on the 30th of January for part of their pre-season preparations. Kick-off is scheduled for 7.45pm and should be an entertaining game as one of the top League of Ireland clubs visits Lecarrow.

This game is of great significance as the proceeds will go towards the John Giles foundation and the erection of the John Sherlock Memorial Stand and will give Airtricity League fans a chance to see up close and personal one of the top teams in the league as they prepare for the 2015 season.

The game also has a sense of homecoming to it as current Cork City manager John Caulfield hails from Lecarrow, just down the road from the League Grounds themselves.

The pricing of tickets for the game will has also been confirmed with adult tickets costing €10 and children up to the age of sixteen free. Clubs will be notified regarding the sale of tickets for the game and ticket outlets will be released on the League Website and through the media this week.
