Mike Finnerty of the Mayo News has been named as one of the commentary team for Sky’s GAA coverage.

The station has announced today that former Great Britain rugby league international, Brian Carney will be one of the presenters of Sky's GAA coverage, alongside Rachel Wyse.

Mike Finnerty, who does match commentaries for Midwest Radio, and Newstalk's Dave McIntyre have named as the Sky commentary team.

Football analysis will come from Peter Canavan and former Roscommon footballer Paul Earley, with Nicky English and Jamesie O'Connor the hurling experts.

Sky’s 20-game coverage begins on June 7th with the Leinster hurling quarter final meeting of Kilkenny and Offaly.
