National titles aplenty for female boxers in Dublin today

Female boxers have scooped a number of titles at the National Stadium today.

 

Molly Rowley of the Swinford Boxing Club took the Girl 11 year 36kg title while her clubmate Saoirse Breen lost out on a split decision in the Girl 11 year 70KG.

 

Megan Sweeney of St Anne’s Boxing Club took the Girl 12 year 31KG title.

 

Amy Prendergast of Knockmore/Foxford Boxing Club took the club’s first ever female national title at Girl 12 year 48KG.

 

Angela Costello of Geesala took the Girl 12 year 52KG and her clubmate Aoife Carabine the Girl 12 year 60KG.

 

Belinda Stephens of the Ballina club took their first ever female title at Girl 12 year 70KG.

 

Kayleigh Lynch of Golden Gloves scooped the Girl 13 year 42KG title while Kirsten Cresham of Castlebar lost out to Jessica Connolly of Castlerea in the Girl 13 year 48KG category.
