Each year, it’s the top six runners who are presented with cash prizes on the day, which was unlucky for Sorcha McAllister, considering she crossed the finish line just eight seconds behind Ellen Moran. Indeed, the eighth finisher wasn’t far behind either, with Claire O’Boyle finishing the race in 42 minutes and 51 seconds. Colleen McHugh was next home in 43 minutes and 22 seconds, while in tenth position was Monica Henry with a time of 43 minutes and 46 seconds.
