- Details
The first of this season’s TESCO HomeGrown National Football League Finals takes place this Saturday at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick where Offaly and Roscommon meet at 5pm. The match will take place before the Cadbury U21 Football Final between Cork and Galway.
Offaly manager, Greg Farrelly, will go into the Division 4 final high on confidence after topping the table at the end of the league stage of the competition, an achievement for which Farrelly received the Manager of the Month accolade. Goals were the difference for Offaly in the sami final as they netted three times against Junior All Ireland champions, Antrim, to come away with a 3-08 to 0-10 victory.
Roscommon finished third in the table level on points with Limerick who they comfortably overcame in their semi final with a 12 point victory. Roscommon recovered from a poor start to the league after losing both of their opening games against Louth and Sunday’s opponents, Offaly but they have since gone on a great run that has seen significant improvements during each round.
The clash of Offaly and Roscommon will be shown live on TG4. In the event of a draw the match will go to a replay.
