Sonia O'Sullivan to attend Castlebar Seminar on Womens Participation in Sport

Olympians Sonia O’Sullivan and Olive Loughnane will lead out a strong team of sports women at a special seminar to explore womens’ participation and equality in sport / physical activity.
The Seminar, called Women in Sport – Are we gaining Ground? will take place this Friday, May 3rd in the GMIT Castlebar starting at 12.30pm.
It will be chaired by GAA journalist with the Western People Michael Gallagher.
Current Mayo Ladies GAA player Cora Staunton, Irish Womens Rugby International Carol Staunton and Special Olympic athlete Bridget Walsh will also attend.
The open debate will explore all aspects of womens involvement in sport.
The seminar is one of the key events during the Castlebar Festival of Sport Weekend which is taking place from the 3rd – 5th May.
The weekend incorporates events such as the Western People West of Ireland Mini Marathon and the Pink Ribbon Cycle.
