Connacht have signed Munster academy hooker James Rael on a one-year development contract with the province.

Rael has played Ulster bank league with Garryowen and was part of last summer's IRB Junior World Cup squad in South Africa.

This weekend Connacht play their second last home game of the season at home to Ulster in the Rabo direct pro 12.
