An article in today's Irish Independent has suggested that Westport Golf Club is a possible venue for a round of golf being added to Vice President Joe Biden's itinerary in August. The Vice President is obviously aware that he would have no difficulty in finding a playing partner as Taoiseach Enda Kenny is no stranger to the game himself. "We feel that Westport would be a suitable venue for the proposed round not only for the magnificent scenery but also the fact that the current Director of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation Robert Mueller played Westport back in 2002 and therefore the Secret Service would have a security file on the town, the golf course and surrounding areas." commented Paul O'Neill, Westport Golf Club.
