Darren Hopkins from Cloonkee Crossmolina Co.Mayo won the spring tour/National Grand Prix riding his grandfather Leo Carey's MT Cruise yesterday at Upper Mace Equestrian Centre. Darren was the youngest competitor in the competition at 16 years of age. Michael Duffy the National Champion from Galway was second. Thomas O Brien from Athenry was third in the competition.
