Kiltimagh youngsters reach All-Ireland Handball Final

Kiltimagh youngsters, Maggie Byrne and Dayna Finn have reached the All-Ireland Girls Under 14 40x20 Doubles final as they defeated Kildare's Leah Doyle and Niamh Masterson in the All-Ireland semi-final last night in Leixlip.

The Connacht Champions did it the hard way as they recovered from a slow start that saw them 10 aces to nil down at one stage to record a fine 15-13, 15-3  victory and now face either Limerick or Antrim in the final in three weeks time.

Mayo feature in just two further all-Ireland semi-finals this Saturday at Moycullen. Niall Joyce from Claremorris takes on Daniel Curry from Wicklow for a place in the boys under 16 decider while Newport duo, Conor Burke and Cormac Moran feature in the boys under 17 doubles semi-final.

Sligo's Aoife Quinn is also in action at Moycullen on Saturday as she bids for a place in the Girls Under 17 final when she takes on Leinster Champion, Niamh Dunne from Laois in the semi-final.
