The Mayo Mountain Rescue team had a busy weekend, with two callouts to Croagh Patrick on Saturday.
The first call at 3.30 Saturday afternoon was to assist a woman close the summit of the Reek, who had a lower leg injury.
While assisting this casualty, the team received reports of a male lower down the mountain with suspected pelvic and upper leg injuries.
The female climber was assessed and assisted down the mountain by two of the Mayo Mountain Rescue team, while the rest of the team proceeded to the second incident.
The Sligo-based rescue helicopter was tasked, and the man was stretchered to the helicopter for removal to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
