The Gardai in Ballina are appealing for information after a large sum of money was taken from a elderly woman last month.
A man called to a number of houses on Tuesday July 31st between 11am and 2pm in the Ballina Town area, purporting to be offering gutter cleaning and power washing services.
The man gained access to the home of an elderly woman and stole a large sum of money.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have had a man calling offering these services in the Ballina Town area, or who may have seen anything suspicious on that date to contact them on 096-21422.
