Garda Investigations are Continuing into Bombscare Hoaxes at Nightclubs in Mayo, Galway and Offaly at the Weekend

There have been no arrests, as yet, following bombscare hoaxes at nightclubs in Galway, Mayo and Offaly over the weekend.
Gardai in Claremorris say investigations are continuing into the incidents and gardai are liasing across counties on the matter.
There were four incidents where bombscares were reportedon Saturday night last. They included the Western Hotel Claremorris, the Bentley nightclub in Eyre Square, Haydens hotel in Ballinasloe, and a venue in Tullamore.
No suspect device was found in any of the four premises.
The hoax scare gave a time that the bombs would go off. The premises were immediately evacuated and the emergency services were in place, after the designated time of the alleged explosion had past, gardai and staff searched the premises and found nothing.
Patrons were then permitted to go back and complete their evenings entertainment.
No arrests have yet been made, and investigations are ongoing.
Inspector Joe Doherty of Claremorris garda station told Midwest News today that the gardai appreciated the co-operation of the business people involved and their patience during the incident.
