The new Bypass of Longford will be officially opened to traffic from Friday next – the August Bank holiday weekend.

The development has been completed ahead of schedule and will be of significant benefit to roadusers in this region travelling to and from the Capital.

Minister of State Michael Ring has confirmed the opening date this morning to Midwest News.
