Blue flags restored to four beaches in Achill following tests

Mayo County Council’s Environment Section has this afternoon advised that the bathing water advisory notices, which were issued for four beaches in Achill yesterday, have been withdrawn.
The notices have been withdrawn following re-sampling and analysis of water samples from Keel, Keem, Golden Strand and Dugort beaches.
The authority says that they have consulted with the HSE and the water quality results are once again within the required parameters.
The blue flags at all four beaches will be put back up immediately.
