Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the Irish soccer manager Giovanni Trappatoni will meet up at Government buildings this evening to finalise arrangements for their Croagh Patrick climb later this month.

The climb will take place on Saturday 28^th April, and the FAI will confirm today that Giovanni Trappatoni and Marco Tardelli will climb the Reek with the Taoiseach – less than a month before leaving the country with the Boys in Green, en route to Euro 2012.

Five local charities will benefit from funds raised during the initiative, which is called “Enda’s Trek with Trapp’s Green Army”.

Participants will be urged to wear green for the Reek climb, and will make a donation towards the 5 named charities.
