The clock is ticking on the household charge, with just two days left to pay the controversial €100 fee.

Roscommon Labour Senator John Kelly has quizzed Minister Phil Hogan this week in relation to people who live in the same building as their business operates from.

The Roscommon senator believes these people are exempt from paying the household charge, as they’re paying commercial rates, but officials in the Department of the Environment are insisting they must pay the new €100 household charge also.

Senator Kelly says this is adding to the confusion surrounding the household charge…..
