Specially Designed Foxford Rug to be Presented by An Taoiseach to Michelle Obama During St. Patrick's Day Visit

The Obama’s will be presented with a newly designed Foxford Rug in the Whitehouse on Tuesday when the Taoiseach arrives for the traditional St Patrick’s Day visit.

The rug  will be specifically presented to Michelle Obama by Enda Kenny.

The Taoiseach suggested the gift as an appropriate one for the Whitehouse when he visited the Foxford Woollen Mills earlier this year, when he himself was presented with a specially designed green and red rug.

Enda Kenny is also presenting 20 brown breads made in Cherry Blossom Bakery in Castlebar to the Obama’s on Tuesday.

The Managing Director of the Foxford Woollen Mills, Joe Queenan, told Midwest News today that they’re delighted that the Taoiseach is promoting Mayo business on his US trip.
