Bus Eireann says the majority of their services are unaffected at present but Route 440, the 14.45 departure from Athlone to Westport has been cancelled and the Galway/Derry service is diverted through Milltown, Ballindine and Claremorris. Route 440, 1445 departure from Athlone to Westport & 1900 Westport/Athlone has been cancelled

Route 65,1500 Galway/Cavan & 1915 Cavan/Galway will not operate
Route 70, 1530 Dundalk/Athlone/Galway,1800 Galway/Dundalk (1940 Athlone/Dundalk) services have been cancelled.
At Ireland West Airport Knock the 9.35 flight from Ryanair flight from London Stansted and the corresponding outgoing flight was cancelled the 11.25 service from London Luton was cancelled, while Ryanair also cancelled its 2pm flight from East Midlands and it's 5.15pm flight from London Stansted, with the outgoing flight also cancelled. The Ryanair Liverpool flight did get in around 3.20pm. The Flybe service from Birmingham was also cancelled earlier, while their flights from and to Manchester and Edinburgh operated. The cancellations are due to adverse weather in the UK as the runway is clear of snow and ice and fully operational. There is a delay in the Aer Lingus service from London Gatwick which was due to arrive at 2.20 was delayed to 3.10pm while the outbound flight was also delayed.
Power was also an issue across the region – the majority of the some 800 customers who were without power in the Westport area have had power restored now, and the same with 162 people in Knockaphunta in Castlebar, around 12 customers in Ardnaree/Bonniconlon remain without power and 27 in Newport where power should be back around 8pm
