Castlebar councillor calls for pedestrian crossing to be installed at busy Cathal Duffy junction

A Castlebar councillor has again highlighted the need for a pedestrian crossing to be installed at the Cathal Duffy junction in the county town.

Independent Councillor Michael Kilcoyne has raised concerns over the danger facing pedestrians at this busy location.

He says safety measures need to be introduced, including a pedestrian crossing and adequate lighting, before a serious accident occurs.
