Farming Groups calling for clarification surrounding stamp duty on commercial property

Farming groups are calling for clarification in relation to the transition arrangements around the increase in stamp duty on commercial property from 2 to 6%, and how these will be implemented by the Revenue Commissioners.
The ICMSA says there are significant concerns among farmers in relation to land transactions that are already underway.
Lorcan McCabe is Chairperson of the ICMSA Farm Business Committee.
He says clarification is needed, particularly where a deposit has already been paid.
