Funding Boost for new River Boardwalk in Foxford
- Details

Ambitious plans to bring the River Moy more into the centre of the town of Foxford received a welcome boost recently when Minister for Rural and Community Affairs Michael Ring announced a 100,000 euro in funding under the Town and Village Renewal scheme for the proposed development.
That's according to local Fine Gael Cllr Neil Cruise. Cllr Cruise told a recent meeting of Ballina Municipal District that the funding now means that more detailed plans and studies can be undertaken to ensure that visitors to the town and residents in the area will all be linked much more closely to the river.
Cllr Cruise told Midwest News today that as it stands the town of Foxford appears to have its back to the river and it's only observed as you exit the town and head out over the bridge.
