Tuam to Dunmore road reopens following fatal crash

The N83 Tuam to Dunmore road has reopened following a fatal crash last night.

 

A 21 year old man who has yet to be named died when he was involved in a two car collision.

 

The two car collision happened on the N83 Tuam to Dunmore road at Carrowmhuineagh at around 8.30pm yesterday.

 

A 21year old male passenger also received minor injuries in the incident, while the 74 year old male driver and two female passengers aged 70 and a 2 year old child in the second car were also injured.

 

Two units of Tuam fire brigade and ambulance crew attended the scene.

 

The stretch of road was closed for some time but has since reopened to traffic.

 

Gardai carried out a technical examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
