The National Treasures Roadshow comes to Galway this weekend.
The roadshow takes place tomorrow (Sunday) at the Radisson Blu Hotel from 10am to 5pm and is open to the public.
National Treasures is an RTE and National Museum of Ireland project, archiving how Ireland has developed over the last century using ordinary objects cherished by families across the 32 counties.
Four roadshows are taking place across the country, with the results turned into a television show presented by John Creedon, which will be broadcast next April.
The objects chosen to be part of the project will then be exhibited at the National Museum of Country Life at Turlough, Castlebar.
Anyone with an object they think might be interesting is invited to come along to tomorrow’s roadshow in Galway where a team of historians will be on hand to assess the objects for possible inclusion in the upcoming exhibition and TV show.
