Irish Water customers who have changed address need to update details to receive refund

As householders can look forward to a refund on their domestic water charges, Irish Water is appealing to customers who paid their water bills but have since changed address, to update their details.

Following the recent Government decision, Irish Water will refund domestic water charges to about 990,000 customers across the country, who will receive a cheque for the total amount they’ve paid.

The refund will be issued once the necessary legislation is passed and funding is provided by Government, and the refunds will total 173 million euro.

Any customers who have moved address since paying their last water bill are being asked to update their details, by calling Irish Water on 1850 448 448 during office hours.
