Status yellow rainfall warning in place for Connacht until 9pm tonight

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for more than a dozen counties, which came into force yesterday evening and remains in place until 9 o’clock tonight.
The yellow level alert is for the Connacht counties of Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, Sligo and Leitrim as well as counties Kilkenny, Donegal, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford, Cork and Kerry.
Met Eireann predicts rainfall accumulations of between 30mm and 50mm over the 24 hour period.
