Two people have been arrested following the seizure of property which Gardai suspect is stolen property.

Over the weekend, Foxford Gardai with support from specialised Garda units carried out a planned search of property in the Knockmore area.

A significant amount of property was seized, including vehicles, trailers and lawnmowers.

Gardai suspect the property seized had been stolen from across the Mayo division.

In the early hours of this morning, two people were arrested at the scene, and are being detained for questioning at Ballina Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
