Ireland West Airport Knock should be developed as an export hub, post-Brexit.
That’s according to Roscommon Fianna Fail Senator Terry Leyden, who believes Knock has a role to play in exporting products to Europe without the need to go through UK customs.
Senator Leyden made his suggestion at a meeting this week of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on European Affairs, which was attended by the European Parliament’s Brexit Coordinator Guy Verhofstadt.
Senator Terry Leyden believes that, post-Brexit, there are opportunities to further develop Knock Airport, which he describes as a phenomenal success story
