House sales nationally were up by nearly 8.5% in the first half of the year.
The latest analysis from MyHome.ie shows that over 23,000 houses were sold across the country in the first six months.
Locally, there were 570 houses sold in Mayo in the first half of this year, compared to 560 in the same period last year.
In Co Roscommon, there was a 13.5% increase in the number of houses sold – from 275 in the first half of last year to 312 in the first 6 months of this year.
Sligo saw a drop of 17% in house sales – with 309 houses sold between January and June this year, compared to 375 in the same period last year.
If the trend continues, there will be over 50,000 properties sold this year, compared to 48,000 last year.
Dublin saw the most sales at almost seven and a half thousand - an increase of 11 percent on the same period last year.
The report shows that Cork came in second, followed by Kildare, Galway and Meath.
