Galway man in critical condition after falling into Grand Canal in Dublin

A Galway man is in a critical condition after falling into the Grand Canal in Dublin.
The 23-year-old travelled from Galway to Dublin with friends to attend the All-Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday.
He became separated from his friends in the early hours of Sunday morning and got into difficulty in the canal at Portobello Harbour.
He was removed to St James Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a critical condition.
Gardaí at Kevin Street in the city are appealing to witnesses to contact them, in particular a man and woman who rushed to help the young man.
