The lifesize Frankenstein figure, dressed in the green and red of Mayo, is located at the Ballina Costume Company premises at the junction of Kevin Barry St / The Font.

The Mayo mascot was badly damaged by vandals.

It was ripped off its plinth at the feet, and left lying on the ground.

Anyone who was in the area last Thursday night or in the early hours of Friday morning and has information on the incident is asked to contact Ballina gardai at 096 – 20560 or the Ballina Custome Company at 096 – 72154.
