Fire crews attended the scene of a blaze yesterday evening at vacant housing units in Ballinrobe Town centre.
The extensive fire to the property at Bowgate street was brought under control shortly before 9pm last night.
This property has been the scene of several incidents of anti-social behaviour in recent years, which has been grave cause for concern for locals.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Damien Ryan says he has raised this estate at many meetings and will once again voice this matter at tomorrow’s Claremorris Municipal District meeting.
