Two Mayo hotels shortlisted in 2017 Food & Wine Awards

Ashford Castle in Cong and Knockranny House Hotel in Westport have been shortlisted in the 2017 Food & Wine Awards.
The winners will be revealed at an awarded ceremony in Dublin on Sunday week next 27 August.
The event will be attended to top chefs and restaurateurs from across the country.
Food&Wine Magazine has been running the awards since 2001, with a host of new categories this year to reflect the changing face of the Irish culinary scene.
The recently-refurbished Ashford Castle in Cong has been nominated for Hotel Restaurant of the Year, and Paula Stakelum from Ashford has been shortlisted for the Pastry Chef of the Year award.
Knockranny House Hotel in Westport has also been shortlisted for Hotel Restaurant of the Year, while Nick Fajours from Knockranny has been shortlisted for the Host of the Year award.
