Mayo Gardai are urging firearms holders to check their licence before the shooting season gets underway, and to ensure they renew their licence when it expires.
Firearms licences need to be renewed every three years, and those who hold a licence for a rifle or shotgun are being urged to renew their licence when reminded to do so.
