Gardai investigate break-in at Ballina supermarket

Gardai are investigating a break-in at a supermarket in Ballina over the weekend.
The incident occurred at the Costcutters Store on the Killala Road, Ballina sometime between 11pm on Friday night and 6am on Saturday morning.
The Connaught Telegraph reports that alcohol, cigarettes and a sum of cash were taken in the break-in, after intruders pulled back metal sheeting on the roof in order to gain entry to the premises.
They then disconnected the alarm and CCTV systems.
It’s understood no arrests have yet been made.
