Deputy Critical of Irish Water as Ardnaree side of town experiencing disruption to water supply

Areas of Ballina remain without a water supply, or with poor water pressure, this morning after major fault occurred yesterday morning that left a large number of householders and business on the Ardnaree side of town without a supply.

Local Fianna Fail deputy Dara Calleary told Midwest News this morning that it’s difficult to understand that a fault could occur in the system, as this is an area of town that Irish Water recently carried out extensive refurbishment works of the water supply system.

The deputy believes that Irish Water did not provide the areas affected with adequate information updates yesterday.
