The annual pilgrimage to Máméan Mountain in the Maamturk Mountains takes place tomorrow Sunday, (August 7th).
Turas na Croise, the Traditional Stations of the Cross will begin at 3.00 pm.
Caoineadh na dTrí Muire will be sung in the sean-nós style and Mass will follow immediately afterwards.
Bishop Fintan Monaghan of Killaloe is the chief celebrant this year.
All are welcome to attend.
Mamean is part of the Maamturk mountains between Leenane and Recess.
While Mamean is a holy mountain that had the practice of pilgrimage in the past, it was revived by Westport based Fr. Michael McGreal, almost 40 years ago now.
