The Fine gael Senator met Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy earlier this week and the Minister gave her a commitment she says, to establish a recommended state Pyrite and Mica Resolution Board to resolve the issues for those affected.
Minister Murphy has committed to speaking to the Minister for Finance Pascal Donohue and the Attorney General about the problem.
Minister English was in the county yesterday and visited some of the family home affected.
The Senator told Midwest News today about her campaign to get justice for the hundreds of Mayo families trying to cope with their houses crumbling before their eyes in some cases.
