Shopify, a company that gives an online presence to businesses around the world, with a base in Galway, is to create an additional 100 jobs in Ireland.
The company provides services for small and medium sized businesses to sell goods online.
Instead of locating staff members in a dedicated space, employees work from home.
The company says this approach gives people more flexibility and this in turn leads to more productivity.
It established a presence in Ireland in 2015 and already employs around 150 people in various locations across the west.
It is now looking to add to those numbers and will hire 100 additional staff over the next 12 months.
John Riordan is the Director of Support Ireland, for Shopify he told Midwest News today that the recruitment is now underway.
