Sligo man dies in hospital following quad accident over two weeks ago

An 85-year old Co Sligo man died in hospital over the weekend following an accident over two weeks ago.

Nicholas Murtagh from Doocastle and formerly of Carrigans, Ballymote was injured when the quad he was driving was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the Charlestown to Ballymote road near Doocastle on the 2nd June.

He was taken to Sligo University Hospital where he passed away on Saturday.

His remains will repose at Coen’s Funeral Home, Tubbercurry tomorrow evening from 5.30 to 7pm, arriving at to the Church of the Immaculate Conception Ballymote at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in St Columba’s Cemetery, Ballymote.
