Boston Scientific to cut 1400 jobs worldwide

Boston Scientific is cutting 14 hundred jobs worldwide.

The medical devices company has three operations in Ireland - in Galway, Cork and Tipperary.

It's not yet known if any Irish jobs will be lost.

The announcement comes after the company announced it's investing 150 million dollars in hiring a thousand people in China.
