It’s now expected that the design contract for the new Rehab unit being built at Roscommon Hospital will go out to tender in April.
That’s according to Roscommon FG Senator Frank Feighan, who says the new unit will operate as a satellite unit to the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire.
The 10-bed stand alone unit in Roscommon will relieve pressure and waiting times at the Dun Laoghaire facility, and will allow patients in the West of Ireland to be treated closer to home.
Senator Feighan told Paula Donnellan that representatives from Rehab in Dun Laooghaire met with Roscommon Hospital management recently to progress the 7.85 million euro unit planned for Roscommon, and he’s welcomed the progress being made on this project…
