Failte Ireland has announced capital funding over 550,000 euro for Coillte to boost the tourist experience at a number of the state-owned forestry company’s sites and unleash their significant untapped potential for visitors.
Wild Nephin and Ballycroy in north Mayo is one of the 6 projects that will receive funding, as well as Coolaney Mountain Bike Centre in Co Sligo, and facilities and services for motorhomes at sites along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Forests in Wicklow, Limerick and Donegal will also benefit from the partnership between Failte Ireland and Coillte to provide an enhanced visitor experience.
