Over 1 million euro has been spent on refurbishing the Dalton Community Nursing Home in Claremorris, to ensure the facility is compliant with HIQA standards.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny unveiled a plaque at the nursing home yesterday, to mark the refurbishment.

The Dalton Community Nursing unit currently caters for 29 residents, and 15 day care patients, with a staff complement of 32.
