Childcare providers say they need extra money to make the government's childcare schemes work.

 

Professionals are meeting today to discuss the two news plans announced in the budget - which they say will increase their administration and salary costs.

 

The first involves the payment of a means-tested subsidy directly to childcare providers who must be registered with Tusla, while the second will see a subsidy paid to parents.
