Councillor calls for funding for Briars Walk Project in Ballinrobe

A Fianna Fail Councillor is calling for funding to be secured for the Briars Walk Project in Ballinrobe.
Damien Ryan says the project needs to be ring-fenced for one of the Government’s schemes which are expected to be announced shortly.
Councillor Ryan raised this matter at a recent meeting of the Claremorris Municipal District and he was pleased with the response he received.
The councillor says that the authority have now taken the initiative and have made an application to the Department of Arts, Culture and Rural Affairs for funding for the Briars Walk Project.
