Nurses to be balloted for industrial action

Nurses are to be balloted for industrial action - with their union saying their pay needs to be restored quicker, and more staff hired.

The INMO says their members have suffered chronic, persistent overcrowding with no extra staff.

Nurses have complained of repeated episodes of missed care in multiple sectors, endangering patients.

The industrial action will first take the form of work-to-rule, followed by one day stoppages, and the Union says it's confident members will vote in favour.
