Midwest News understands that production has ceased at Westport based Irish TV.

According to reports production ceased this week with immediate effect following the withdrawal of a key investor.

The company is said to be keen to continue operations and is now in the process of trying to find new investors to secure the future of the company.

Midwest News has contacted Irish TV for a comment on the reports but has yet to receive a response.
